Overview
iCuTech’s Customized Power Layout (CPL) concept enables application-specific design of power electronic modules by integrating an additional PCB level directly into the module architecture. This approach allows precise placement of control, gate, and auxiliary circuits in close proximity to the power components.
By combining CPL with laser-welded interconnections and D2M architecture, iCuTech enables optimized electrical performance, improved switching behaviour, and efficient system integration. The result is a flexible module concept tailored to the specific requirements of each application.
Concept & Architecture
CPL introduces a two-level architecture within the power module:
- A power layer for current handling and main switching functionality
- A control layer (PCB) for gate drive, protection, and auxiliary circuits
This architecture enables:
- Short electrical paths
- Precise component placement
- Reduced parasitic effects
